As an operation, Google is extremely secretive - and why shouldn't they be when they have companies such as Microsoft eyeing a share of their lucrative business. The essay concludes in an interesting point about why Google is so secretive about it's ability to deliver blistering fast searches against a gigantic web of documents and conjectures about where Google may see itself playing in the future.
